Sarissa Capital Acquisition opens at $10.20, IPO priced at $10 per unit

Sarissa Capital Acquisition priced its initial public offering of 17.5M units at a price of $10.00 per unit and opened at $10.20. The company's sponsor, Sarissa Capital Acquisition Sponsor, was capitalized by investment funds managed by Sarissa Capital Management, which was founded by Alex Denner, Ph.D. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share and one-third of one redeemable warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder to purchase one Class A ordinary share at a price of $11.50 per share. After the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, the Class A ordinary shares and the warrants are expected to be listed on the Nasdaq under the symbols "SRSA" and "SRSAW," respectively. The company is a new blank check company incorporated for the purpose of effecting a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses. While the company may pursue an acquisition opportunity in any industry or sector, it intends to focus on the healthcare industry in the United States and other developed countries. Cantor Fitzgerald acted as sole book-running manager for the offering.
