Fly Intel: Top five analyst upgrades

Catch up on today's top five analyst upgrades with this list compiled by The Fly: 1. J.M. Smucker (SJM) upgraded to Neutral from Sell at Guggenheim with analyst Laurent Grandet saying while he still thinks the pet segment will remain challenged and doesn't see the company's longer-term growth algorithm being competitive with food peers, he sees "a significant risk to being short the stock" given how sustained sales strength can give the company EPS flexibility and the opportunity to lower its debt more quickly. 2. NIO Inc. (NIO) upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Morgan Stanley with analyst Tim Hsiao saying the Hefei government's recent funding injection and NIO's improving access to credit should make the company much more financially competitive with automaking peers. 3. Urban Outfitters (URBN) was upgraded to Outperform from Market Perform at Telsey Advisory and to Hold from Sell at Loop Capital. 4. Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Morgan Stanley with analyst Dara Mohsenian saying the stock is up only about 1% since the start of the COVID pandemic versus a roughly 21% jump in defensive U.S.-centric peers. He argues that the company is defensive during COVID, but also will be a structurally higher growth company coming out as household penetration gains in coffee are likely to be sticky given higher unemployment and more employees working from home. 5.
